This first started happening a couple of weeks ago when a piece of software was put on to the computer off an external hard drive. First the wifi would turn itself off but after turning it back on it might happily stay on for a few hours before switching itself back off.

The day before yesterday it decided to start turning itself off straight away. I plugged in with ethernet, uninstalled the old drivers and reinstalled new ones, this didn't seem to do anything so I turned on my firewall and titanium defense and after a while it decided to start working again.

Earlier today I connected my DSLR camera to my USB 3 port to download pictures, this killed my wifi straight way. I reconnected with ethernet and I'm not sure what I did but now the wifi has decided to work again.

Anybody got any clue as to what is happening?

Hi and welcome to TSF what was the software that was installed and have you removed it or run any malware scans

photoshop cs6. i have not removed it but i ran a scan on the file containing the program and it comes clean

I would first remove the program that concided with the wi-fi turning itself off and see if any change first that photoshop cs6.
