I'm running an Intel-based Mac using bootcamp to boot into 1) OS X.5, 2) Vista 32 bit, and Ubuntu. My Vista partition needs a driver for USBSTOR\DiskSeagate_FreeAgent_Pro___400A ( external hard drive). Seagate says the driver comes from Vista, but I can't find it. Any suggestions?

Check under device manager and find the hard drive there and delete it.

Let Vista re-install the drive for you.

The drive is usable on the Mac but not on Vista. On Vista it does not show up in the device manager, but does show up in System, under hard drives. In Vista, it sees the drive but cannot find the driver. Any thoughts?

is this drive hooked up via USB or Firewire?

Have you tried to go into the add hardware section of the control panel?
Often times if it isnt recognized with plug and play you can use this feature to make it look for it again and it will usually find it.
It will then setup the driver for it.
