Hi, I am building a new computer and need help with installing XP. I installed XP and all the drivers, then I did the activation. After I activated and restarted it, when I clicked on my name to log on it would say the product is not activated and I would have to activate it. So I clicked yes to activate it and did it again. Then, I restarted it again and the same thing came up, so I clicked yes again and it took me to a screen saying my activation was complete and to push ok to continue so I did. But, After I hit ok it took me back to the login screen and the same process over again. It is just doing the same thing every time I try to log on. I need help, please any thing is appreciated. Thanks

Well, looking online real quick, this may work:

Reboot to Safe Mode:
Reboot tapping F8 each second.
Select Safe Mode at the menu
Login

Start > Run
Type "regsvr32.exe regwizc.dll" ENTER
Type "regsvr32.exe licdll.dll" ENTER

Type what is inside of the quotes and hit ENTER after typing.

Reboot.

Another fix may be:

The Product Activation data is kept in the wpa.dbl file in the C:\Windows\System32 folder. If you have access to a master image or backup copy of that file that was created when the PC was working properly, you can boot into Safe Mode, open Windows Explorer, and copy the wpa.dbl file into the C:\Windows\System32 folder. Reboot and you should be back in business. If that doesn't work, boot into Safe Mode again and delete the wpa.dbl and wpa.bak files, and reboot. With those files no longer there, Windows XP will have to reactivate, because it reads them when it checks to see if it is activated.
I have not tested either of the above. Use at your own risk.
