I tried to Install Windows XP onto my computer but came to an
error(cyclic redundancy error). I called Microsoft and they said that it may be that Windows looses contact with the CDROM. They said to borrow a Windows 98
CD and a boot disk from someone so I could get a prompt and install from the hard drive. I do not know anyone that has a 98 CD. Does anyone know of any other way to install from the hard drive?
or just install XP from the windows xp 6 boot disk sequence or the 1 windows xp boot disk...thats what I did (my computer doesn't see the CDROM when i set it to boot to it).
