I have a PC running XP, and I recently was just infected with "Security Tool." I want to install and download Windows 7 straight onto my computer, but will it work? or will the virus override it? Please Help.

More detail please? I don't know how to delete it, and when i try to download programs to get rid of Security Tool, the virus shuts down the downloading process...

It didn't work, everytime I install a program, like KillDisk, once it finished downloading, a message from the virus pops up and quits the installation process...?

Boot from either the XP disc or the bootable killdisc cd.

Enter the BIOS and set the first boot device to be from CD/DVD drive, restart with the cd in the drive

In ohter words. Put in your windows xp cd, restart the computer and tap on the ESC key repeatedly until a screen called "Boot Menu" comes up, then use the arrow keys to select the dvd/cd drive and press enter.

*This is how to boot from the cd.
