I have a 2nd hard drive(internal) that I wish to install however I warned that the settings have to be correct or my system may run into serious problems. The drive did not come with any software or written instructions only a cable and the drive itself. The cable has tags on it for ATA133 with identifiers for MASTER, SLAVE, and SYSTEM BOARD. How do I know what the jumper settings should be? The Hard Drive is a Seagate 7200.7 Barracuda(80 Gbytes)

Hello and welcome to TSF

Visit the Seagate Support Site to download there install utilities and documentation and post back with questions or concerns and someone will fix you right up. A picture is worth a thousand words and using the seagate utilities to set the drive up is preferred to windows, imho, and is handy for the future
