Hi,

I have my DELL Inspiron 1150 with XP Home edition, bought in 2005, reformatted recently.
It does not have wireless network drivers. Its a 32 bit based driver.
I have installed Intel 4965AGN driver. But it does not appear in device manager. I don't see any on/off switch for wireless in my laptop.

What should be done?
I want to connect to internet using the network adapter card , I have Verizon Wireless card 802.11g, with the new driver installed.
Please suggest. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Hi,
I do not see where your Dell 1150 take the driver you installed so you may have the wrong driver.
Go to you device manager and post the errors (yellow !) you find.
If you have a Network controller error Right click on the error>Properties>Details Tab
Post what you see for DEV/VEN numbers under Device Instance ID.

Without the DEV/VEN # I can only guess.
The link for your drivers are here:
http://support.dell.com/support/dow...D=INS_PNT_P4_1150&os=WW1&osl=en&catid=&impid=

I would choose either:
http://support.dell.com/support/dow...-1&impid=-1&formatcnt=1&libid=5&fileid=152055

Or
http://support.dell.com/support/dow...-1&impid=-1&formatcnt=1&libid=5&fileid=135925

But it could be others. That is why I need the DEV/VEN #.
Do you have ANY errors in the DEVICE MANAGER (you should)?
If so follow the steps posted previously and post the DEV/VEN #
Thanks,
Bill
