install xp problem

I need to install xp again and format my c drive so everything old on it dissappears on it due to some problem with my monitors that cant be uninstalled..........hmm I have run the the cd several times....and it installs a fresh copy and removes the old but it does not format c and remove everything...hmm how to do this...
please tell me......

Hi cedervall,

When you put in the CD and formated, did you do a full format or qiuck format??? If you want, you could get a win98 boot disk and format the drive from there....

If you want to format large partitions with FAT32 you need to FDISK first.

What brand of hard drive have you got there?
When you boot from the CD, delete the existing partition and create a new one, then install XP on that partition. It should format it for you.
