Boot into Safe Mode and then try installing your video game.
try deleting the install shield program folder C:\Program Files\Common Files\InstallShield and renaming it to something else reboot the machine and then try to reinstall the program.

didn't work.
I don't know if you can run installshield from safe-mode. I would run a disk cleanup to clear out all the temp files and try reinstalling. Have you checked how much space you have left on your hard drive and see if it is sufficient for the game?

Well see I have a 120 GB Sata1 HD and I just formatted yesterday with Home edition.

I have all the Windows Updates. All of them
Could this be caused by my Harddrive not being connected correctly?
Could this be happening because of SP2?
I get this program error all the damn Time and I never found a sollution for it. I'm seriously getting fed up with it. I'm sick of not having the enjoying of coming home from work and playing some games.
And I know for a fact it's my computer and this CD's.
Check your event viewer and see if any errors were logged during this install and post the error # and the source.

Right click on my computer>manage and go to event vewier, I would check application and system and see if any errors popped up when you install the program.

what am I looking for exaclty?

I found this

Updates to the IIS metabase were aborted because IIS is either not installed or is disabled on this machine. To configure ASP.NET to run in IIS, please install or enable IIS and re-register ASP.NET using aspnet_regiis.exe /i.

For more information, see Help and Support Center at http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/events.asp.

nothing for MSIinstaller.

I'm look for any errors that were generated during the time you installed the game. If you double click on the error, on top you'll see the event ID and the source.

Are there any other errors other than this one? What's the event ID and source on this error?
I cant install the game. I put the CD in and it gives me the message.
I explore the CD click on setup.exe Gives me the message.
Stab myself in the chest Gives me the message.
The only place i can think of is the event log to see why this is happening to you. I have checked the MS KB and googled the error but couldn't not find anything. I also looked in other places and found nothing. From the error you gave me above I would uninstall .NET Framework from your computer and reinstall it. Other than that you got me stumped. Have you tried calling the game tech support and see if they can help you out?

Also are you running a webserver or smtp server on your computer? Just wondering since it's saying that IIS is enabled.
Also which game are you installing is it a game from microsoft?
I would try Re-installing .NET Framework from your PC, this may fix it.
control panel add/remove programs, look for Microsoft .NET Framework and remove that. Then run your windows updates and look for microsoft .net and install it.

Windows updates.... Open internet explorer>Tools>windows update, then follow the directions.

If this doesn't work try copying the whole CD to your C:\ drive and try to install the program from there.
