Hi Folks
My Daughter dropped her 1764 and cracked the screen, while you could still see an image, it was ugly. So she bought a replacement lcd screen and asked me to replace it for her. I did and the new screen did not work. I purchased another replacement screen and it did not work. Video feed is perfect using the HDMI or the VGA port to an external monitor. I have replace the lcd cable 4 times and tried 2 replacement motherboards. Everytime that I am finished, or so I think, it boots up but nothing on the LCD. I tried shining a light on the screen and to see an image, like suggested on another thread, but there is nothing. I'm at a loss.
Anyone have any ideas?

Can you post the model/part number of the original and the replacement screens?

Thanks for trying to assist so quickly.
The original lcd screen Part Number is:LP173WD1 17.3 HD+ (TL) (A2).
The first replacement lcd screen part number is: LP173WD1 (TL) (N2).
The second replacement lcd screen part number is: SL22E compatible with LTN173KT01 LP173WD1 N17306-L02 B173RW01.
neither of the 2 replacement lcd screen appear to be anything but new and unused as described. The first one was purchased by my daughter via Amazon, I purchased the second one via Ebay.
