Hello. This is my first post. I want to replace the cooler fan on my A15 Toshiba laptop. Through another thread (which is now closed) on the techforum, I learned of a source for the OEM part (sparepartswarehouse.com part #P000377310 $38.95--backordered at the moment).
Is there anything tricky about doing the replacement? It looks straightforward and simple, 2 screws and the power miniplaug off the mainboard. But...ya never know and it's never as easy as it looks, yeah?
Thanks mikey

The hardest thing is first having the correct part to replace it with and the right tools apart from that it will be a very delicate job so take your time but all in all if you take care then you should have no problems. But you should take ESD precautions

Thanks for the reply. I saw a used fan on ebay for $36, but I think I want to wait for the new part to come back in stock. I don't want to worry about the fan, like I would with a used part. Sparepartswarehouse.com said it should be back in stock in a week or so. I'll be super careful with the install. mikey
