Info: MBR Partition Table not in sequential order ??????

3229 Views 5 Replies 3 Participants Last post by  johnwill
I get this message when I run PartitionInfo (PowerQuest's companion to PartitionMagic) on my extended partition (for use with logical partitions). Any idea of how should this be resolved??? Is my logical partition corrupt?

No. Any other idea?

It's not necessarily a problem, it depends on how the partition table was created. If you aren't experiencing any issues with any of the partitions, my advice is to ignore it. I have a system where the partition tables are not in order, since I have deleted one in the middle, and resized another one to fill the space. It causes no problems.
Now that's funny. I've made the same thing - deleted one partition and resized another. Are you sure this is not a vital problem?? Thanks anyway!!
It's just an informational message, since they're normally sequential. I suspect they think it might indicate that there's a missing partition that you might like to recover. If you know there isn't one, ignore the error, that's what I do. :D
