Infecton

i have a e-machines, windows Xp-pro, un-usable. It wont even connect to the internet. It once had b.exe, i think its gone. it doesnt appear on the task manager anymore. ive read that it will make music and sound randomly come up on your computer and windows open randomly. I never experienced this with the trojan/virus but it did make my start bar look like a windows 98 one and wont change back, wont connect to the internet, wont run system restore, and a bunch of random weird little things, i basically got to boot it in safe mode to even mess with it. CANT FIGURE IT OUT THOUGH! HELP! HELP! i cant stand this windows ME millenium anymore......is there a webite i can find a system recovery file @ or a system restore file? ANYTHING? HOW DO I FIX?
