In need of help; cannot open any programs due to virus infection

Ok so about a few months back my computer got infected with a virus and every time i would open my browser it would trick me into buying some fake antivirus program but about 1 week after i stopped getting the pop ups and could finally browse the internet but it screwed up all my programs. I could no longer double click on any icon on my desktop to open the program and had to right click and open as administrator. If anyone can help me with this and guide me step by step i would highly appreciate it. Thanks :)

Hello mvme,

We can't guess at what the malware file names and entries are, or where they're located. We require a comprehensive set of logs to determine the presence of malware. Please follow the instructions in our sticky topic New Instructions - Read This Before Posting for Malware Removal Help and post the requested logs in your next reply.

If you have trouble with one of the steps, simply move on to the next one, and make note of it in your reply.
