It does either one of two things every time I start it up.

When it starts, it goes through the bios and then when it gets to the Windows XP start up screen the one where the thing goes across to let you know it is trying to load. Well it goes across for a while and then stops and the system stays that way and does not load XP.

Another one is where it loads XP and then it locks up while still loading icons and programs in starting up and then you can do nothing but restart. It either does the same again after you restart or does what is described in the previous paragraph.

The system however will run in safe mode with networking that is how I am posting this.

Thank you for any help you can give it is very appreciated.

What did you do before the problem occured? Did you install any new software or hardware? It's either that or perhaps your hardware is getting flaky. Did you open up the box, reseat all the connections, make sure the fans are running, etc.?

Connected microphone to sound card (Sound Blaster Live Value) then system restarted after that and has been doing what has been previously described. Microphone is no longer connected and everything is as was before this started. Still same problems however.
