Hi.

About last Friday or so, my computer became infected. At first, there were alerts that my computer was 'probably infecteted with Spyware.IEmonster.b . It was promting me to download Antivirus 2009, which I've dealt with in the past. I got rid of that, but there are still many problems that lead me to believe that I'm no where near out, yet. These include:
-I'm unable to acess ANY antivirus support site.
-I cannot run Malbyte Antimalware. When I try to run it, nothing happens.
-I constantly get popups that I never got prior to Fridays.
-My computer is running slower than usual/ freezes often.
-Norton's Advanced Protection is turned off, and I can't turn it back on.
-I can't instill Hijackthis.
-Images won't load on IE.
-Something called 'Google Installer' keeps popping up, claiming that it encountered a problem, and had to close.

Is there any hope?

and welcome to the Forum

Try clicking on the Spyware cleaning link in my signature and following those steps . . considering the issues you have, they may not all work, but see how far you can get, then post on the JHT forum

I believe you are REALLY infected!
I do not know what the issues are, but I would save ALL your Personal Data (Documents, Music, Pictures) to a backup of some sort (CD, External HD, Flash Drive). I would then run a QUALITY Virus/Spyware protection program on these Saved Files.
Once ALL your personal files are intacted, I would suggest a total reformat (If that is an option)?
If not, then I would post a new thread after you have followed these procedures to HJT Thread:
