Hi all.
Now I know this might get cut but I need to ask. I play Darkthrone and sadly one of our alliance members called Michael who was 14 was in a very serious accident and sadly lost his life.

The problem we have is his Mum is trying to get access to his PC because it has a lot of Pictures etc on it that she wants to get printed up. But the machine (which has XP Pro on it) has a password on it and she doesnt know what the passwrod is. Is there anyway of getting around the XP Pro password?

Now I know there is a risk behind posting info like this on a forum but if anyone knows how to get around this could they even PM me. I wouldnt normally ask for someting like this but it would mean alot to Michaels Mum if we could get these pictures and stuff for her.

Many thanks in advance.

Smeg

Do the personal folders not have password protection on them? I tried this on a work machine and it wouldnt let me into the folders for the user. I will try this later when I get home. Any other ideas?

Have you tried booting to Safe Mode, going into the Administrator account and deleting her user account's password?

You can use "take control of hard drve" option in Windows computer management to take over a hard drive if it has been installed as primary boot. I believe the option is in disk management...
