iMac hard drive info transfer to removable disk

I sold my ibook a couple of years ago and I still have the hard drive, which I would like to retrieve my info from and do not know how I can do this. The only computer in the house now is my boyfriends PC and I think I know you cant transfer Mac hard drive info using HP PC. Please advise as to what my options are for getting my stuff off of my old hard drive for saving to removable disk/flash drive. thank you so much for your time and consideration of my problem. any help is appreciated!
