IGRP protocol

HI,

using IGRP

I need your help please

basically i am trying to device an addressing scheme for a network, which have the following routers, router a and b. router a has switch in dat there 20host and router b which is connected serially to router a. and router b has two switch which each has 24 hosts. how do u set the ip address for these host by configuring the router quite new at this please help.

the routing protocol i am going to use is IGRP. I know the basic configuration like config t get you into global configuration mode, give a hostname choose the interface fa0/0 for example or select the ip adress for for the interface serial 0/0 den no shut i know the basics

but i dont want anyone to do it for me but how do you set up an addressing scheme where do i start basically i know the basic quite well but now i am stuck please help

For selecting the host addresses (and their associated subnet masks), make the proper masks that provide enough host bits, which you should be able to do. As for the serial connection for example, all you need is a 30-bit mask (255.255.255.252).

By the way, is this a testing or production environment? Testing environments tend to use default values, while production you may end up tweaking settings (like setting the bandwidth values for IGRP).
