IE8 Setting blocking site

I have recently perchased a new PC with Windows 7 and Internet Explorer 8 installed. I cannot get to a site inside a website I have used, and still can use, without problems on my old laptop. When I called tech support for that website, they suggested an IE setting must be blocking the page I am trying to access. I have turned off popup blockers and tried to add Trusted Sites, but have had no success. Any ideas? Thanks.

What happens when you try and get to the website? do you get any error messages?

I click on the link to move to a new page and nothing happens. The page looks the came. At the bottom is "Done" and if I roll my curser over the word, it changes to "Done, but errors on page." I get to the parent website without any problems, but it is a linked page that I cannot get to. Thanks.

I also have explorer 8 and continually get the security message. How do I turn this off?
