I'm using IE7 and wondering where it stores Favorite Icons and where it stores contents of webpages saved to hard drive. I use various Internet cleaners to remove unwanted remains of web browsing which under IE6 removed everything but not under IE7 ?

Many thanks,

Chaz

I also use IE7 and have no problems with the latest version of Ccleaner. It cleans up all temp files and cookies from IE7:

Anyway, if you want to check manually, they are stored separately for each user account: (you need to enable viewing of both hidden and operating system files). You'll then see a 'History' folder and 'Temporary Internet Files' here:

Thanks for your reply.

I currently use the excellent Ccleaner and Window Washer to get rid of unwanted files etc but still the icons remain in the favorites list and I'm nowhere near finding where IE7 stores the contents of webpages saved to disk. They are not located in the Temp folder or in any easy to find location however I will keep trying!

Cheers anyway.
