I received my new Dell Studio 1735 a couple of weeks ago, and it was pre-installed with Windows Vista Home Premium SP1.
My IE7 was working fine initially, but recently, it started to fail me. Every time I click open the Favorite Center (the Star icon below the navigation buttons), and right-click a favorite link, IE7 would crash. An error message would pop up, with this message:
Internet Explorer has stopped working
A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available.
I went in to check the Control Panel > Problem Reports and Solutions, and the details of the problem showed this:

I have googled around to try to find out what could have possibly hit my IE, and most of them talked about how IE add-ons could kill IE. Using IE7’s Tools > Manage Add-ons > Enable or Disable Add-ons, I found the following add-ons, which are all enabled:
1. BitComet
2. Research
3. scriptproxy
4. Send toBluetooth Device…
5. SSVHelper Class
6. Sun Java Console
7. Adobe PDF Link Helper
8. BitComet Helper
9. McAfee Phishing Filer
I have tried resetting my IE, but the problem persists.
I wonder if anyone of you has experienced this before, and managed to fix it.
Let me know if you need more info.
