I tried to run DDS but the CMD window says ACCESS denied

I have internet connectio nand troubleshot my router with Linksys and my cable modem with COMCAST. So no problems there.

Bestbuy scanned my system and said I have these 4 issues:

•drsnsrch.com hijack
•180search assistant/zango
•delfin
•ieplugin

Spyware blaster is not connecting to the server to update. AVG no longer works. Hijackthis freezes up.

Please help.

Hello -

Best Buy can ID the problem, but not fix it?

The GMER log looks very odd, not what I'd expect.

Let's try this special version of gmer.

Download GMER Rootkit Scanner from herehttp://www.gmer.net/download.phphttp://www.gmer.net/download.php to your desktop.
  • Double click the exe file.
  • If it gives you a warning about rootkit activity and asks if you want to run scan...click on NO, then use the following settings for a more complete scan.

Click the image to enlarge it

  • In the right panel, you will see several boxes that have been checked. Uncheck the following ...
    • Sections
    • IAT/EAT
    • Drives/Partition other than Systemdrive (typically C:\)
    • Show All (don't miss this one)
  • Then click the Scan button & wait for it to finish.
  • Once done click on the [Save..] button, and in the File name area, type in "Gmer.txt" or it will save as a .log file which cannot be uploaded to your post.
  • Save it where you can easily find it, such as your desktop, and post it in reply.

**Caution**
Rootkit scans often produce false positives. Do NOT take any action on any "<--- ROOKIT" entries

===================================

Try renaming DDS to a .com extension and then attempt to run it again. If still no joy, use this tool instead.

  • Download RSIT by random/random and save it to your desktop.
  • Double click RSIT.exe to start the tool and click Continue at the disclaimer.
  • When the scan completes it will open a log named log.txt maximized, and a log named info.txt minimized.
  • Copy (Ctrl+A then Ctrl+C) and paste (Ctrl+V) the contents of log.txt here.
  • Please attach info.txt to your post.
To attach a file to a new post, simply
  1. Click the[Manage Attachments] button under Additional Options > Attach Files on the post composition page, and
  2. copy and paste the following into the "Upload File from your Computer" box:
    C:\rsit\info.txt
  3. Click Upload.
