IE home page change after computer restarted

1498 Views 11 Replies 2 Participants Last post by  wtyang
I got the following message after I restart the computer after logon as Admin. My system is Windows XP SP3

RUNDLL
"Error Loading C:\windows\system32\2IdJen.dll" with only "OK" button.

I click OK button to ignore it. However my IE homepage was changed to www.6700.cn\?tn=1027102 no matter how I changed it back to
another reliable web page. I tried the Firefox and Chrone, and does not observe the home page change.

I ran AVG 8.0 Internet security software, Dusing registry cleaner and CCleaner, but the problem won't go away.

Any suggestion to solve the issue?

run hijackthis http://www.trendsecure.com/portal/en-US/tools/security_tools/hijackthis

run RSIT http://www.prevx.com/filenames/4042460208085755464-0/RSIT2EEXE.html

post results to techsupport, you may need to use another pc to download these programs

also go ahead and get http://www.malwarebytes.org/products.php

1. put these on a cd first from non affected pc.

2. run hijackthis and RSIT and post these results please

3. you will have malwarebytes on the cd also in case tech tells you to run that also.
