Hi everyone, I've got a little problem. I tried to install a second hard drive in my system but when I opened up my case I realised that I only have sata connectors on the motherboard. My second hard drive is quite old and it has the IDE connector on it. My question is, does anyone know when I can purchase a IDE to sata cable? Does a cable like this exist? Many thanks. Andrew:wave:

Your favorite online retailer should have adpators for both data and power. Do a search for "IDE to SATA adaptor". If your power supply does not have a SATA power connector, look for a "MOLEX to SATA adaptor". You should be able to find either for about UKP10 each or less.

the link i gave you for the converter is very expensive,if I were you I would just buy a new sata hdd,ide is very old,

I agree i always use WD Black unless its a SSD, but you dont even want to get involved with them
