Hi, it`s my first post here, I searched around the forum but didn't find another thread about my problem...
I recently bought a p4p800 deluxe cuz my other board died...
Now when I boot up it takes a long time to detect my hard drive, there is no problem detecting my pioneer dvd writer though... I have to set the detection time out in the bios to 20 seconds or more for my hard drive to be detected (by the way it's a western digital 160gb and it worked like a charm with my old p4p800 deluxe)... And even at 20 seconds, sometimes it is detected, sometimes it's not...
I tried changing the IDE cable and it didn't change a thing, I flashed the bios to the latest one (1019.005) and I put the detection method to quick and it didn't change a thing either, I even adding another hard drive and it does not get detected under 20 seconds either...
Oh, and after it gets detected, it takes like 30 seconds to finally see the image of windows xp with the little animation showing that it's loading...
But once windows xp starts, everything works fine...
Oh well, I hope someone can help me!
Thanks!
