iBook G4

Thanks guys for the warm welcome. Well, here's where I stand - pardon if this isn't the correct forum as I'm new here.

I purchased an iBook G4 with the intention of managing photos in the field when I'm on assignment. I'm a freelance photographer for our local news-paper here in Southwest Florida. The unit I purchased works great, I obtained from eBay fir $251.00 shipped. It only has the default 512mb of RAM,but I have a 1g card arriving soon. However, that's not my problem. My problem is I can't insert captions into the photos like I can on my iMac which uses a newer version of the software. This little iBook uses version 5.x and when I tried to upgrade it, the newer versions appear to be unsupported. So here I sit with a laptop I basically can't use. Does anyone know of a photo editing program that will allow me to insert captions via metadata which is compatible with the Mac PowerPC using the Tiger OS?
