A friend asked me to service an IBM Magstar 3590 tape drive (no ACF).
It indicated a need to do a pressure adjustment in the pneumatic system. While trying to do that, it refuses to recognize the scratch tape. Error message indicates that it refuses to read or erase the tape. It's a new tape fresh from a bulk package, so that isn't correct. What do I do?:4-dontkno
