I want to run Ubuntu 9.04 on my Dell Studio One 19 Desktop and still retain the touchscreen function. I do have a disk of drivers, but if they are the proper drivers I am still unsure. Any ideas or similar problems?

I am going to guess the disk of drivers is for a windows OS? It seems that jury still isn't out on the touchscreen idea with ubuntu. It seems that some people have had success but others haven't.

Can you tell me what model laptop you have? This will help me to narrow down the search a little bit.

I want to run Ubuntu on my desktop not a laptop. It's a Dell Studio One 19.

I can' seem to find anything that gives it the thumbs up yet. That being said it would be insteresting to do a dual boot and see if it will work. If it wasn't for the price point I would get one for myself and then try it but I don't have that type of money atm.
