Hi. I'm having a problem chatting using voice on MSN messenger. My DSL connection is linked to a Compex Netpassage 15-D router. Before installing the router I could use voice on MSN messenger but after installing it I couldn't get through. I'm pretty sure I must make some changes to the router's configuration but I have no idea how. I'm just an average guy with an average knowledge on computers. Can anybody please help me with this situation?

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
Zach :)

Is there anyone who had been successful with configuring their router to enable voice on MSN Messenger? I'm not willing to abandon MSN Messenger since MSN 6.0 looks so cool. I wanna keep trying but I'm still stuck. :upset: I have added this port 6891 - 6901 (thanks Merlin!) to the router's configuration but it still refuses to transfer voice.

I need a miracle. :dead:

Okay I did some researching and ended up in Microsoft's download website and I found a patch for using voice.net & the NAT problem. If anyone is interested or on the same boat as me here's the link:

http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/...44-cd9f-4424-922a-8e98bc1a0a2c&displaylang=en

I downloaded the patch, installed, and restarted my PC. I opened MSN Messenger and guess what, it still doesn't work. :upset: Curse Microsoft!

Oh well back to searching again.

"Why would you want 10 messengers running?"

My question exactly. :D

DMZ works huh? How do I configure this? There is a 'Private IP address' in my router's DMZ configuration page. How do I obtain this private IP?

Thanks. I want to try this out.
