The "private IP" in the DMZ configuration is the LAN IP address of the machine you want to appear in the DMZ. Note that the DMZ machine has NO protection from the Internet, it's like connecting directly to the broadband modem. You'll want to have firewall protection if you want to run the machine for more than a few days before reloading due to contamination.
