Hi all

I recently started up at a new company doing some work to patch things up. All of our users have the ability to log in to the servers at the office from home using a web browser and software from a company called Netilla. The server that is used to host this application and manage everything is running windows server 2003 fully updated.

for most people with any technical skills and a semi mediocre computer it is no big deal to copy something, minimize a window and paste the content into a document on their local pc at home. however these are not technical people and they want to take as few steps as possible no mattre how nuts it seems.

so to the question, i have a user who wants to use his printer at home to print from his remote session without having to copy minimize paste print. doesn't seem that hard but i have not been able to make it work at all.

the user has a newer pc running vista 32 bit, has an hp f4280 printer and high speed internet connection. the drivers work flawlessly for local printing however the printer is not recognized in his remote session. i have tried everything i can think of to install it on the server, share the printer, even create a seperate vm running windows xp and having him access that. nothing is working. however i have another user with vista and the same printer who has no issue.

i am sorry for the long post. any help would be appreciated.

thanks

Perhaps it's rights issue? Are both users configured with the same group membership?
