i phone mail issue

Since upgrading to OS4 on the iphone we are getting lots of mails with no content and a date of 20 - 30 years ago. You can't open the mails or delete them. they do go eventually but it would be good to stop them. any ideas?

what email service? go to the account online and try creating a rule to auto delete those emails.
