ok, I have looked everywhere, the net all over dis site and i cant seem to come to a answer. Whenever i try install any file or game that is on disk or is on computer, i get this error...
"An I/O error occured while installing a file"
If any help could please be posted here and if you need any information about my computer i will post it straight after you ask for it..

There can be a few causes of this error....

1. The CD is dirty or damaged or the CDROM is bad and can't read the data.
2. The hard drive is so fragmented..the data can't be written.
3. The file is corrupt.

Useally it turns out that the file gets corrupted or the CD is of such low quality some CDROM's have an issue reading the files data. I would suggest that you run defrag on your hard drive and then check it for errors. If your getting this error copying a file from one section on your hard drive to another...then I would say the hard drive has a problem (fragmented, Lost Clusters, Bad Sectors...ect)
