My daughter tries to boot her pc and she gets the message " I/O drive cannot be found. Hit any key". When she hits a key, the pc shuts down.
She thinks she needs a new hard drive. I told her I would check it out first.
It is an HP Pavilion with ME. Don't know how much ram or processor speed. Sorry.
Any ideas?
Thanks
Do you have a bootable diskette? Or perhaps the "restore CD"? Sounds like you're missing some files it needs to boot. They could have gotten over written or corrupted or deleted.
