I turned on an old computer a few days ago, and i got a message saying that my graphics card wasn't working properly and i needed to update the driver.

When i went to check my graphics card model, it didn't show up. The computer doesn't have internet, but i have others in the house that do so i searched online and downloaded a program that is supposed to tell you about your graphics card, but it could not find it either, yet when i tried it on the current laptop im on now, it worked fine.

So, basically the card has worked before, its just started not working (granted, its been a year since i was last on it), and it wants its driver. I don't know its model because the computer was custom built from scratch.
All i know is its ATI.

Thanks for any help :)

Get Everest Edition which will checkit for you. or open the case and see how your video card looks like, ( if it's old as you saying then it should be something like 9xxx series such as 9200 or 9800) and then google search ati video cards and see which one that looks similar to your and get its model number.

hope this help you.
