I just got the latest driver for an old graphic card, Cirrus Logic GD5465. My computer is currently running on the Micrososft's version of the card. When I attempted to update the driver, it claims the graphic card is already the latest! T_T

I would have went well with the Microsoft's version of the driver but a game, MapleStory, requires me to use the manufacture's version of a graphic card or it will show me the "Failed to find proper screenmode."

Help! I need solutions to this quick! Thanks!

uninstall the card from the device manager
reboot tapping f8 and choose vga mode
when windows finishes reinstalling the card
disable a/virus
install your drivers
reboot the computer
starting in vga mode stops windows from installing it's version before you have the chance to install the ones that you require
