I tried 2 other vid cards 1 pci and 1 agp. Nether worked
I have a AMD factory fan which was plugged in the right socket speedo , but thx for trying.

If any other suggestions come to mind ne 1 I'm willing to do about anything to fix this mess.

Lets try the old out of the case routine..

Disconnect everything off of the motherboard except the CPU, Heatsink and Fan.

Take the motherboard out of the case and lay it on a phone book or something non conductive.

Hook up the following items only.

Hook up the wire that comes from the power button on the front of the case to the correct header, See manual.

Hook up the the power supply to the motherboard.

Insert one stick of ram.

Insert the video card all the way.

Hook up the monitor.

Hook up power to computer.

Turn on the monitor.

Turn on computer.

You should have video on the monitor.

This sounds like a lot of work but it narrows down the devices to a few.

Try this and post back with the results, Relax and take your time...

I did exactly what u said and no video. the led on the moniter is orange not green so no vid. Now that Im messing with this mobo again its pissing me off again ..... Thx for the help, any other ideas? God damn carnies..... heh. Im guess something got to be fried.

Wouldn't a fried cpu fry another mobo??? Cause I could try it in my new mobo when i get it but im not risking it if it could mess it up.

The only other thing I can think of is if you have a reputable computer store nearby let them check it for you..

Speedo is right. If any number of us had it on our desk for a half hour we could figure it out- point being it needs to be somewhere where there are allot of spare parts to swap out and check. Wish I could help, please keep us informed on what you find.
