Well when you deleted "almost everything", was it on purpose ? Makes a world of difference.

If you are trying to wipe the thing clean and do a new install, that's one thing. But if you are looking at data recovery that's competely different.

This is a complex situation, if it is the second case. And not going to be solved "fast". I recommend that if it is the second case what you DON'T do is take the first suggestion you find from anyone you find or you could permanently lose your data.
Have you tried cleaning the CD? It sounds like it's dirty or has a scratch.
I deleted everything on purpose and the CD is clean.
With the same CD, I installed windows xp professional a couple of days ago and formated my D hard drive. Everything was working good.
Than a couple of days later I got an anoying virus, so I though that I might just format my C drive.
But it wouldn't let me, so I pretty much deleted almost everything manually. Including some windows stuff. Because I though it was all for the old windows version I had previusly installed. Because I am pretty shure that I installed the new windows on D. I guess not :upset:
So what can I do to get my notebook running again?
