Frustration #2 -
Whenever I open up I.E. after booting up, my settings from the previous session refuse to be savedl. The search side-bar is there as well as links and other stuff I don't want. I move everything to how I want it and lock the toolbars and voila, next session, it is not the way I want it. I upgraded from I.E. 5 to I.E. 6 last week and still no solution.

That's strange. How do you open IE? Tell me the target properties of the link please.

right click and empty spot on the tool bar and select ... Lock toolbar
