Well I have Verizon. My modem/router is a Westell 327W.

I randomly get a bubble in the bottom of my screen that says network cable unplugged. When it does this the internet disconnects for around a quarter of a second and then it reconnects. Its not that big a problem except that sometimes it will happen frequently, It did it 10 times in 10 seconds earlier today, or it can be hours inbetween.

If it does this while I am on my DS, Wii, or Xbox 360 it will disconnect them meaning I lose what ever I was doing online. My DS and Wii use wifi and my 360 is wired so its not just a problem with part of it.

I called Nintendo and after a lot of test they said my modem/router is bad.

I called Microsoft and after trying every test they could they said my modem/router is bad.

After calling Verizon at LEAST 10 times today, they would hang up or be disconnected I was told that it was EVERYTHING but my modem/router. I was also told that if it was doing what I said they wouldn't be able to tell, but unless they could tell they couldn't help me.

Things they claimed:
A cable is bad *I checked then and even replaced some*
A chip in the computer is bad *I had it looked at*
That can't be happening you are imagining it *I liked that response a lot....*

They REFUSE to sent me a new modem/router because they said they can't tell something is wrong. They wouldn't even let me BUY a new one!

Is they anything that you can think of that I can try to fix to get it to work right?

I have been forced to call them in between exams making it even more difficult.

I really have no idea what to do now.:normal:

Well I called them again this morning. The first person person I spoke to looked at our past calls and said that everyone we talked to at least got 3 complaints a day. After explaining the problem we switched us to someone who had the same problem. She said that they are going to send me a new modem/router overnight.

FWIW, I just went through similar crap from AT&T. After nearly a half year of chasing
down billing issues along with speed issues on my "1.5mbs" service, I decided to tell them where they can go.
I got 786k Time Warner cable service, and am cancelling the phone service alltogether.

The Time Warner service worked the second I plugged it in, and I got 30k faster speeds on the 786k service than I did on 1.5mbs service from AT&T.

Sometimes it's best to vote with your wallet.
