i just got a Toshiba A215 w/ Vista installed, we didn't like Vista, i formatted and put XP on it. stupid me, left the restore CD w/ drivers in Houston. i can't find the drivers for the Realtek ethernet card in it. and when i do, they're all just for Vista. is there ANY way around this? i'm getting a USB high speed internet installer from Time Warner tomorrow, but this is really frustrating.

oh, i used Everest and it doesn't really tell me what model card it is or anything.

Hi patrone36 and welcome to TSF !

There's a dozen of different Satellite A215 models. Look for the complete model number at the bottom of the laptop and tell us about it.

If you look for the Vista drivers for your model on Toshiba's website you may be able to identify your controller's model if you read the readme file that's usually in the driver's package. You may also find the complete specs sheet which will tell you what your controller is.
