I use Mozilla Firefox as a browser. Lately, when I try to download PDF files, a dialogue box states I already have adobe running and I can't open PDF files. I don't see any indication that I have Adobe open. If this is insufficient info, please let me know what you need. Thank you in advance.

First try to shutdown and then turn back on the computer. This will close Abobe Reader is its open.

Also make sure that you have the latest version of Adobe Reader. Adobe - Adobe Reader download - All versions

Quicker way. Go to your taskbar right click on it and select task manager located Adobe reader in the list of processes highlight it and click "End Task" then try opening the PDF again,

What version of Firefox are you using? If you go "toos", "addons", "plugins" do you see Adobe Reader listed? In Search for Addons list it and add it.
