Because I am an idiot.

I'm on a Toshiba Equium L40-14l running Vista Ultimate. The only thing that isn't working are my volume function keys. Is there anyway to get the .exe back?

It's not in my recycling bin and I've searched my files but it isn't there, so it's completely gone.

Can someone help me please!!

Ok try this out:

Update the bios, go here:

http://www.opendrivers.com/driver/2...m-l40-bios-update-2.20-win-free-download.html

The hotkey operates from the bios for the Fn function keys to work.

Just some info here for you:

C:\Program Files\Sony\HotKey Utility
C:\Documents and settings
These are the folders where hkserv.exe is located in, it will be in one of them.
The file is not a Windows system file
If found other than mentioned, then it is probably is an infection.
