I am looking at parts to buy for my first endeavour into building a PC.

I am working towards IT qualifications in which I have learnt the basics to building a computer and wish to put this knowledge into practice.

I'm looking for an ATX Motherboard to meet certain criteria:
-Socket LGA775 (for a Core 2 Due e6300)
-Plenty of Serial ATA II headers (at least 4) with RAID 5 capability
-At least 3 standard PCI slots (4 if possible though I haven't found any with that many) and 1 PCIe x16 for graphics card (currently no need for other PCIe slots)
-Support at least 2GB of RAM (preferably 4GB for later expansion)
-Plenty of Overclocking options to Supe-Up the e6300
-Preferable FSB speed of 1066Mhz

The best choice I've found so far is this one...

Can anyone find anything better for me? My budget is about £150 for the MOBO.

Hi,

I have to agree with pharoah that if it were my choice, the board he listed (Asus) is a better board. This is a very nice board.

Just a comment about the board you originally listed. The board you originally listed is not a bad board. They have been moving up tremendously the past couple of years in overall quality, but they still have quite a way to go in order to compare with the quality of an Asus board.
