huawei e173 on Linux

I got a Huawei E173 usb modem from RDS(network provider).
it works great under windows but i need help setting it up to work under linux Mint 10 (based on ubuntu 10.10).
Can some1 help me or should i create a similar thread in the Linux support side of forum?
