I need help installing a HP Photosmart P1000 on XP. The software/drivers on the CD's don't work. I downloaded the driver from HP (3511_enu_w2k_xp_release), but it keeps saying it doesn't pass the 'windows logo test'. I've seen this problem in other threads, but never really saw a solution. Can anybody please help?

don't worry about it not passing the XP driver verification...I don't think I have any that do. You can always roll back a driver or do a System Restore to revert to a previous one.

I 're-downloaded' the driver for the 3rd time and finally got it to work. I guess it just needed a night with no power to straighten it up. Thanks.
