So i restarted my computer the other day... and now it won't boot back up.
It will take me to the HP invent screen, and the "safe mode" options screen.
I CANNOT startup in safemode, or normal mode.
I do not want to do a PC recovery because i have valuable files on that computer that i don't want to get lost.
I checked if i added in hardware, which i didn't.

Thanks in advance.

You can use an Ubuntu Live CD to backup your files to a Flash Drive. Once you are backed up, Do a PC Recovery. Or if you have a XP CD, boot off of that and get to the Recovery Console and type chkdsk /R and press enter. The Check Disk utility will try and fix any file errors.

You would download the Ubuntu Live CD on another computer (click the link for instructions) and burn it yourself. You can also download the ISO image for the Recovery Console and burn that with IMGBurn then put the newly created CD in your troubled computer and boot off of that and run the command in post #4,
