HP HDX 16 Notebook: Webcam Does Not Exist?

My friend is having a problem with his integrated webcam on his HP HDX 16 Laptop. The computer refuses to acknowledge its existence. We've tried installing the YouCam Software, but it, obviously, wouldn't work because it couldn't see the "HP Webcam" as it should appear. The drivers don't even exist when we looked through the Device Manager, thinking it was a driver problem.

This wasn't always like this, though. He hasn't had any problems with his webcam until recently. For all he and I know, It "disappeared" on its own.

No changes to the OS (Vista SP2-64)

Any help in this issue would be GREATLY appreciated.
