Hello everyone,
My laptop hp elitebook 840, 16GB Ram wont start when turning power on but I hear 5 beeps and caplock blinks
I tried following steps until now and nothing worked
-took ram out, changed their position reconnected
-took battery and cmos out and reconnected
-took hard drive out and reconnected
I cannot even open bios setting , please give your valuable suggestions what else i can try or replace?

I did a Google search specific to your model and the beep codes. I found a website that has maintenance info for your exact model and according to the beep code chart it might just be your system board (motherboard) could be "kaput".....as in send it lillies delivered to the landfill...........
